#OPENGL AC3D MAC OS X#
In 2005, a Mac OS X version of AC3D was released. They decided to keep the name AC3D for the software.
#OPENGL AC3D FULL#
In 2002, Inivis Limited purchased the full intellectual property rights to AC3D and continues to develop and market the software. A Microsoft Windows port followed when the X-Window interface was dropped in favor of the portable Tcl/Tk scripting library. At that time, the user interface was implemented using X-Window/ Motif.Ī Linux port was released onto the internet in 1994 (the GL graphics were replaced with OpenGL). Initially developed on the Amiga, the code was then ported to Silicon Graphics workstations which used the GL graphics library. Works with all Common 3D Formats (3ds, md2, md3, ac3d, blender, x) Automatic Light-Normal Calculation Alpha Blending. ac format has also been used in FlightGear for scenery objects and aircraft models. AC3D has multipoint polygon and line editing down to the vertex level, with no polygon limits. The OpenGL 3D renderer has adjustable field of view, and you can either spin the model or switch into its walk mode for Quake-style control. The software is used by designers for modeling 3D graphics for games and simulations - most notably it is used by the scenery creators at Laminar Research on the X-Plane (simulator). Youll find the ability to generate fast, real-time 2D and 3D OpenGL graphics views. You can select a group, object, surface, or vertex, and edit them all. AC3D is a 3D design program which has been available since 1994. AC3D takes the best features from standard image-editing programs and adapts them to the 3D world.
