Those themes paint a large and detailed portrait of an area- from a community to a country. There is a profound enjoyment in discovering a place through the five geographical themes: location, place, human- environment interaction, movement, and region. The quest to compare and contrast Portland and Seattle has lead to many interesting discoveries. Although, many may have there own reservations about each city it is important to critically analyze both. Between the two cities plenty of controversy could be stirred up.
